SAVANNAH, GA. Thursday Day 7

SKIDAWAY ISLAND STATE PARK

Is where we are staying. We arrived here on Tuesday, leaving tomorrow Friday.

It is one of the nicest state parks we've ever stayed in.

As we were setting up camp, we were pleasently surprised to see our son Steve walking toward us. Steve lives in Atlanta, Ga. about 5 hrs from here. He has a 40' RV that is now parked about 100 yds from us. He decided the last minute to come, it also worked out well that he was here for his daughter, Abby's surgery this morning. She had 4 wisdom teeth pulled, two of which were impacted.

I need to take more pictures around here before we leave, so will only upload a couple we took sitting around the fireplace at Steve's campsite. Abby lives about 5 minutes from here, so she came over the first night as did her boyfriend, Blair. He drove down from college to see us, he grew up in Savannah and his mother still lives here.
We were invited to Steve's for supper in his RV, Thursday night. My boys are good cooks. (Of course the girls are too)

Abby's new dog, "Ziggy"

Campsite at Skidaway State Park. Steve was parked not far from us .

Nice that Steve showed up! Roger VL looks the same (except for the KFC beard). Did Dad and he rehash all the old jokes?
