On the road again..to Sanford

We left the state campsite in Flagler just around 1 p.m. and headed to Sanford.

BUT
When we got near Daytona, for some "unknown" reason the truck veered off of the route, Tommy our GPS kept saying "go back go back".   Larry said, "Turn that off"  Tommy doesn't know "Everything".
Well you probably have already figured it out...we were headed for a car museum, looking for a Hudson !!!

On the way to the museum we passed the Daytona Speedway.
I couldn't believe how huge it was.

This is the museum, "Living Legends of Auto Racing"
Hudson's were one of the first stock cars raced at Daytona.
Marshall Teague was instrumental in getting Hudson factory support for racing.
Hudson won most of the NASCAR races they entered in 1952.

At first Larry was very disappointed because there wasn't a Hudson there.  The museum guides (all Hudson men) told him that there had been one in there last week but had just been driven back north.  They did have a new CD just out with the story and pictures of Bill Albright and his Hudson's.  Here Larry is watching the video.  If you remember, Larry won the $2,000. Albright award with his '49 Hudson.
1952 Hudson which was on the CD.  The CD will soon be available to buy.
There were pictures on the wall of racing Hudson's, a motor on display like the one that Larry has taken apart and is now in his Hudson Hornet.  One of the guys there was from Amsterdam, NY so he knew about where we live, has been in Northville and around the Sacandaga.
So this made Larry/Dad's Day!!!!!
