Red Bluff's Chili Cook-Off

Saturday afternoon on Larry's birthday, Tom took us into town (Red Bluff) to the annual Red Bluff Chili Cook-Off. Everyone has been teasing Larry about eating Mexican food. Anything "hot" or spicey, makes his head sweat. We went to two different Mexican restaurants, Laura Kested served some Mexican foods and seems like he was getting more than his share of hot stuff. Then Tom took us to the Chili Cook Off. You bought a small paper cup for $2.00, then you could sample all the chili in the contest. Some was extremely hot, others mild, and others very tolerable to NY palates. You were also given a ticket to vote on your favorite one.

This booth not only made chili but bbq ribs and gave out samples.
Here's Larry and "T" Moulton getting a sample of chili

Tom and Richie getting another helping of chili

Some of our crew at the cookoff.
Alysha, Kevin, Mike, Tom, Larry, "T", and Joe.

Of course there was a car show there too. Tom and Larry enjoyed that before the tasted the chili.

Each chili booth had their own advertisements. Here are a few.
