COLORADO SPRINGS, CO

Monday morning, after another delicious breakfast at
Kested's we drove down to Colorado Springs where my
best friend from high school days has lived since she
started teaching there in the 1960's. Her husband Jim
and Bev raised 3 children. Two of them live near them
and one in Iowa. They have 5 grandchildren.

It had been 44 yrs. since we visited them last. I did see Bev.
at a class reunion about 20+ yrs ago. We reminisced,
looked at old pictures, talked about our families, went out
to lunch at Fargo Restaurant, and toured the U.S Air
Force Academy, Focus on the Family, Garden of the God's
and Navigator's.

The rocks here were amazing. They were red in color and some
were like tall chimneys, standing all alone.

We met Cindy Wednesday afternoon at the Navigator's Bookstore
Courtyard. We hadn't seen her in nearly 20 years.

I love Colorado. My inlaws used to live there. We visited some of the same places & more. My grandkids really want to go to Focus On The Family and see Whit's End and go through the Wardrobe Doors into Narnia. Did you see that part?
