Another tradition when we visit Dick and Anita, is to go out to supper

 at the Broadway Diner on Watson Blvd in Endwell. We always

enjoy our times with the Shipway's.  Friends since the early '60's.

Binghamton was still reeling from the tragedy that took place last

week where a gunman shot and killed 13 people besides himself.

I talked on the phone with our daughter in law, Kathy,  

for quite some time.  She was very much involved in phone calls etc

relating to the tragedy.  She had to interface with the public, families

of the victims, the hospital, newsmedia etc.
