In the late afternoon we headed for the Olympic Jumping Complex where we were met by some neat young people that were handing out free handwarmers, bags containing candy, gum, hand cream, suntan lotion, pens, etc. They were from Florida and were on a missions trip to Lake Placid. What a neat idea to reach out to others; meeting needs, being friendly and helpful. Isn't that what ministry is all about? They were ministering in actions rather than words. https://www.ncministries.net We took some blankets with us and sat in the bleachers and watched the jumpers/aerialist as they were practising and then competing for qualifications for later on. We watched for awhile, man was it cold, then went inside the building where there were tables, coffee, hotdogs etcetcet and HEAT. We could see the aerialist but also got to see some of them up close as they came in to get warm and take a break. These competitors were competing for the Freestyle World Cup, so they were from all over the world. We also got to visit with some folks that were there vacationing.
