The dictionary states that "A stone-boat is a device for
moving heavy objects such as stones or hay bales.
It was used with horses by the settlers of the American West.
Larry/Dad says that his Dad and grandfather used a stone boat to
move rocks on their farm. Hardscrabble is known for its rocks.
Here is the one that Larry built and is useing to move rocks.
Note the front curves upwards like a sled.
They were also called stoneboat sleds.
Google "Stone boat" and you'll find pictures of old stone boats in use

I was looking at that top picture of Dad on the tractor and at first glance, BOY does that look like Grandpa!!!

I think everything said was actually very reasonable. But, consider this, suppose you
were to create a killer headline? I am not saying your content isn't good., however what if you added a headline that grabbed a person's attention?
I mean "WHAT IS A STONE BOAT?" is kinda vanilla. You could peek at Yahoo's home page and note how they write post titles to get viewers interested. You might add a related video or a pic or two to grab people excited about everything've written.
Just my opinion, it would make your posts
a little livelier.
